Our Philosophy is influenced by the Socio-Cultural Theory. We believe that all children are born with innate and pre-determined capabilities. This is further enhanced through interactions, experiences and guidance from all external influences or stakeholders in a child’s life, with a holistic (whole person) effect on child’s learning and development. These influences being: the child, adults, families (their culture and educational backgrounds), educators and peers with higher capabilities, as well as the influence of fast-paced and ever-changing technology. Additional influences may include the community at large and Government organizations.

The Early Years Learning Framework outcome of “Children are connected and contribute to their world” will guide our pedagogical (educational) practice to encourage children from varying backgrounds and skills to play together and thus learn from each other.

We will follow the Emergent Curriculum approach that will be a flexible and reactive approach. This approach (method/style) will extend and expand on the interests and capacities of all children, individually and as a group. Thus, acknowledging and respecting the learning that each child brings and shares, from all the external influences in a child’s life.
